Chief John Oyegun the chairman of the All Progressives Congress ( APC),  has said that President Muhammadu Buhari needs to sack public officers appointed by the past administration.

Oyegun said that there are saboteurs in various government agencies trying to hinder Buhari’s change agenda.

He said some persons who were appointed into public office by former President Goodluck Jonathan are sabotaging Buhari’s government.

Oyegun said “It is happening in INEC, it is happening in a lot of other institutions and that is what the concern of the party is, not necessarily taking over.

“We should take over and there should be people who believe in the change agenda, we have no apologies for that at all.”

On February 15, 2016, President Buhari, sacked heads of 26 government agencies, with six under the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture.

There were reports that the All Progressives Congress (APC) was behind the mass lay off.

The APC was unhappy with Buhari for failing to sack officials who had been appointed by his predecessor, Goodluck Jonathan.
